You don’t need another round of physical therapy that stops at ā€œyou’re out of pain.ā€ You deserve to feel strong, confident, and fully capable in your body again.

That’s why I built Ascend Performance.

I’ve worked in the traditional physical therapy setting for more than 5 years and worked in the cash-based side as well. There is something to say about not letting insurance dictate patient care, the amount of visits allowed, or decide what services can be covered or not covered. I’ve seen where patients could benefit from more therapy, more time with a therapist, or a service but insurance doesn’t cover it. With cash-based physical therapy I get to provide the best care and importantly one on one care. This ensures that each person’s care is individualized, not just what some corporate company wants their therapists to do.

I am here to listen to YOU! When you get good care you and your therapist are both there setting your goals, discussing what interventions are going to be best and that can change along the way! If you are looking for care that is individualized, evidence-based, and actually keeps you moving and doing what you love let’s connect!

Who We Help

Here at Ascend Performance we are looking for the fitness-minded patient. The one who hates to miss a Cross Fit class, the runner who avoids going to see the doctor for an injury knowing the doc is likely going to tell them to stop running (cause we know a runner still probably won’t stop), women who want help with their pelvic floor but don’t know where to start or maybe you already started but jumping, running, lifting still aren’t where you want them to be and you’ve been told ā€œeh it’s normal as you get olderā€ (psa it’s not!). We want the ones who tried traditional PT before and felt underdosed with exercise (2# weights anyone?), misunderstood, or felt you weren’t getting the attention you need. You all are the ones we want to help!

About Me

Owner

Mallory Kalinoski

I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA but have been in Florida for 7 years. I got my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelors of science in exercise science from Kent State University where I ran track and field. Since then I have become dry needling certified through the American Academy of Manual Therapy and am a pelvic health specialist through the Institute of Clinical Excellence. When I’m not working I am spending my time running, doing CrossFit or hanging with my two dogs!
